Chapter 18
Zhang Yansheng spent the whole morning studying in her room. She had made a schedule for herself to review all her junior high school knowledge before the summer ended.
During the basic education phase, there was a lot of rote memorization, and subjects like math and science were full of formulas.
Zhang Yansheng had been away from all of this for many years and was essentially starting from scratch. Forcing knowledge into her brain over the past two days had been truly painful. But on this day, she finally felt the clogged parts of her mind had been forcefully cleared, and she began to gradually absorb and digest the material.
When it was lunchtime, a call came from downstairs. She hung up and went down but ran into Liang Yingying, wrapped in a silk robe, on the stairs. Zhang Yansheng was a bit surprised she hadn't gone out today.
But then Liang Yingying lifted her long hair with a look of contentment, deliberately exposing her neck, and Zhang Yansheng suddenly realized—she wasn't staying in; she had just gotten up.
The skin on her neck and exposed chest was covered in love bites, hinting at the reason for her late start.
She said lazily, "I was so exhausted last night. I need to eat lunch quickly; I have shopping plans with someone this afternoon."
Her eyes were seductive, her whole body radiating the aura of post-coital bliss.
Zhang Yansheng stared at those marks and suddenly remembered.
In the past, on weekends or holidays, there were indeed times when Liang Yingying would get up exceptionally late. When she did, she would often parade around Zhang Yansheng dressed provocatively, her neck covered in those marks.
This situation had actually started quite early. It was just that, until now, Zhang Yansheng hadn't really understood. It wasn't until high school that she gradually figured it out. Occasionally seeing them and realizing they were marks left by Zhang Huan would make her feel disgusted.
But it was just disgust. At that time, Zhang Yansheng had never realized that Liang Yingying wasn't letting her see these things unintentionally. Liang Yingying was doing it on purpose!
She was deliberately, with a show-off and smug attitude, showing Zhang Yansheng the traces of her intimacy with Zhang Huan, deliberately trying to disgust her!
A grown woman, secretly using her sexual affairs with a man to disgust an underage girl. And that man was the girl's father.
Zhang Yansheng stared at Liang Yingying.
Now, she no longer felt shame or disgust at the marks of sexual activity. But she genuinely felt nauseated by Liang Yingying's mindset and actions.
Zhang Yansheng pulled out her phone with an expressionless face and took several pictures of Liang Yingying's chest and neck with a click, click.
Before Liang Yingying could react, she had already gone downstairs.

Liang Yingying was stunned for a moment, then chased after her. "Hey! Why are you taking pictures of me?"
"You're exposing your chest and neck—isn't that for me to see?" Zhang Yansheng sneered. "I'm taking pictures to have a good look."
Liang Yingying wrapped the sides of her open silk robe tightly around herself and tied the belt, "covering up." "Delete those right now!"
Zhang Yansheng stopped walking and gave her a sidelong glance. She opened her palm, clenched it into a fist, opened it again, then clenched it again.
"I suggest... you'd better not come within half a meter of me," Zhang Yansheng said. "People have a self-defense mechanism. When something disgusting gets close, I naturally want to throw a punch."
Liang Yingying remembered how Zhang Yansheng had choked her a couple of nights ago. For some reason, that hand had been like a vice; she couldn't pry it off at all, completely unlike the strength of a fifteen-year-old girl. She instinctively took another small step back from Zhang Yansheng. "I'm telling you, whatever you just took, delete it!"
Zhang Yansheng rolled her eyes at her and went to the dining room.
The nannies were already setting out the dishes.
Zhang Yansheng went straight over and sat in the seat at the head of the table. Liang Yingying wanted to say something to her, but when Zhang Yansheng's sharp gaze swept over, she inexplicably shrank back. She snorted and sat at the other end of the long table. After all, she had just woken up; her stomach wasn't awake yet and couldn't handle rice and stir-fried dishes like Zhang Yansheng and the others.
The nanny asked, "What would you like, ma'am?"
Liang Yingying said, "The usual. Milk, oatmeal, vegetable salad."
The nanny went to prepare it.
Zhang Yansheng still didn't look up at her. She fiddled with her phone, looked at the photos she had just taken, picked one that didn't show Liang Yingying's face—only her neck and the large expanse of chest and cleavage exposed by the sexy nightgown—and posted it to her social media feed.
She set the visibility to only the "Relatives" group.
The caption read: "My dad's wife just got up at this hour. She keeps complaining to me about being tired, like she has no strength at all. What does she mean? Does she want me to accompany her to the hospital to check out the rash on her chest? As if."
Send.
Zhang Heling and Zhang Shuocheng also came down.
Zhang Yansheng put away her phone without a word and turned her gaze towards Zhang Shuocheng.
"Sweetie~" Liang Yingying called to Zhang Shuocheng. "Come eat!"

Even though both her children were right there, her eyes were only on her son.
Zhang Yansheng noticed Zhang Heling's expression was indifferent, clearly long accustomed to being ignored like this.
But Zhang Shuocheng didn't pay attention to Liang Yingying. He walked over under Zhang Yansheng's gaze, full of confidence, and said in a gruff voice, "I already finished my homework today!"
He was very proud. Now you have no reason to hit me, right?
Zhang Yansheng, however, asked unhurriedly, "Do you need a spanking to learn how to address people properly?"
Zhang Shuocheng froze.
Zhang Heling nudged him from behind. "Say 'sister'!" Zhang Yansheng said, "Repeat what you just said properly."
Liang Yingying exclaimed strangely, "What are you doing, nitpicking? Shuoshuo, ignore her!"
Zhang Shuocheng hesitated.
Zhang Yansheng smiled and said, "Do you believe me when I say the first thing your mom will do after eating is put on makeup, change clothes, and then she'll go out?"
Zhang Shuocheng looked at Liang Yingying. Her expression—mouth open but unable to retort—proved Zhang Yansheng was right.
Zhang Heling nudged him again from behind.
Zhang Shuocheng finally gave in and said resentfully, "Sister, I finished today's homework."
Zhang Yansheng looked up at Zhang Heling. Zhang Heling understood and quickly said, "He finished it. I checked it. There were a lot of mistakes, but I made him correct them all."
Zhang Yansheng nodded. "Alright. You can play freely this afternoon. Let's eat."
Zhang Shuocheng sighed with relief and cheered. Zhang Heling also smiled, feeling the sense of accomplishment from completing a major responsibility. The two of them sat on either side of Zhang Yansheng—because all three of them had eaten breakfast and were now having a proper lunch. Unlike Liang Yingying, who had just woken up and needed light food to wake up her stomach.
But this scene was truly grating to Liang Yingying. How come it seemed like the children she gave birth to were both listening to Zhang Yansheng?
This couldn't be allowed!
Liang Yingying's eyes darted, and she asked Zhang Shuocheng, "Shuoshuo, do you want to play with your game console?"
Zhang Shuocheng's console, handheld, and phone had all been locked away by Zhang Huan in a fit of anger that night. Zhang Shuocheng hadn't touched them for three days.

His eyes immediately lit up. "Yes!" he said loudly.
Then he deflated. "Dad locked them up!"
Liang Yingying laughed, her body shaking. "Silly child, Mom has the keys! Wait, after you finish eating, Mom will get..."
Zhang Yansheng interrupted her. "My dad said he's not allowed to touch game consoles for a week. Are my dad's words meaningless?"
"Well, your dad is Shuoshuo's father, and I'm Shuoshuo's mother. If Dad says no playing, but now Mom says it's okay, isn't that allowed?" Liang Yingying said.
Liang Yingying was about to say more when Zhang Yansheng's phone rang. Zhang Yansheng glanced at the caller ID, raised a finger towards Liang Yingying in a "be quiet" gesture, and answered the call.
As expected, the call was from Zhang Huan.
The first person to see Zhang Yansheng's social media post was her cousin from her uncle's family. Her cousin was drinking cola at the time and spat it out in one go, spraying the entire table. After a coughing fit, he quickly called his father—Zhang Yansheng's eldest uncle, Zhang Huan's older brother. "Dad! Quick, look at the social media feed, Yanyan's post, the one she just put up! Don't ask what it is, just look!"
Zhang Huan, in his office, received a call from his older brother, who first yelled at him incoherently and finally said, "What kind of nonsense is this! Get it deleted! If Mom sees this later, you won't hear the end of it!"
Utterly bewildered, Zhang Huan opened the feed and nearly fainted from anger.
He immediately called Zhang Yansheng.
At the Zhang family's dining table, Liang Yingying, Zhang Heling, and Zhang Shuocheng all heard Zhang Yansheng's voice, still calm, even cold.
"Delete it? Why?"
"Not fit to be seen? Then why was it deliberately shown to me?"
"I've never seen anything unfit to be seen. What a middle school student can see should be suitable for all ages."
"Yes,it's still like that now, so I don't understand why it's unfit to be seen. Am I not a person?"
"Fine,okay. I promise."
Zhang Yansheng hung up the phone, said nothing, picked up her chopsticks, and prepared to eat.
"Did you hear what I just said?" Liang Yingying picked up the previous topic again. Anything that could prove her status as the "legitimate wife" was something she loved to do and emphasize.
She flaunted her position to Zhang Yansheng. "Your dad? What about your dad? You need to understand, your dad is my husband! I am your dad's wi—"
Liang Yingying's phone also suddenly rang, its ringtone covering her last syllable. She glanced at it and suddenly looked happy. Picking up the call, she answered in front of the children with a sweet, coquettish voice, "Hello, honey~"
(read @cherrybombbertranslations.blogspot)
That "honey" was so syrupy it gave Zhang Heling goosebumps. She really wished her mother wouldn't talk like that. She had seen her classmates' mothers; none of them seemed to be like her own mom, she thought gloomily.
Having just been intimate last night, Liang Yingying felt she had Zhang Huan wrapped around her finger. Who would have thought the call brought Zhang Huan's roar.
"What the hell are you wearing! Go change your clothes!"
"Those marks on you—can the children see that! Can they! Don't you have any sense!"
"Get the hell out of there and go change! There are two girls in the house! Don't you dare corrupt them!"
"Liang Yingying! You're my wife now! You're the mother of my children! You damn well need to act like a decent person, understand!"
"If I find out you're parading around like that in front of my daughter again, you can get out!"
